Parent/Grandparent Supervisa

A supervisa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for up to 2 years at a time. It’s a multi-entry visa that allows you to visit Canada for a period up to 10 years.

Requirements for the Parent/Grandparent Supervisa

To be eligible for a super visa, you must

  • Be a parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
  • Have a valid travel Document.
  • Have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry and is for at least $100,000 coverage.
  • Satisfy the IRCC that you and any accompanying family member are not a security risk to Canada.
  • Be in good health. You and any accompanying family members may be required to complete a medical examination.
  • You are not inadmissible to Canada. In general, it means that one is not involved in any criminal activity or involved in human rights violations or organized crime. There may also be other factor that may result in inadmissibility such as one’s health.
